There are wild nuts, fruits, and seeds hanging everywhere. During this 1-mile guided walk, we will discover which plants bear fruits and nuts and if they are eaten by people or animals. Program free with NS admission. Sat., Nov. 15 1-4pm Kids Fossil Field Trip GOLDEN POND VISITOR CENTER Let's go on a fossil search! We'll take you to a rocky shoreline where we can find all sorts of fossils, including crinoids, bryozoans, and ancient clams. While we climb around on the giant rocks and do some fun activities, you will learn how to spot fossils and figure out how they got here. Meet at the Golden Pond Visitor Center. Sat., Feb. 7 1-4pm Fort Henry Anniversary Walk FT. HENRY TRAIL 147 years ago, the land between the rivers was bracing for war. Confederate forces occupied Fort Henry with federal forces moving up the Tennessee River. Relive the events before and during the siege of Fort Henry on this guided walk around the remnants of Fort Henry's outer fortification.
