ELK & BISON PRAIRIE Enter the Elk & Bison Prairie and experience the restoration of Kentucky's landscape. The area encloses 700 acres and features three interactive interpretive stops along a 3 1/2-mile paved loop road. Enjoy your self-guided auto tour of the "barrens" restoration landscape where you may see signs of a recent burn, emerging grasses, and spring wildflowers. The Elk & Bison Prairie is open 7 days-a-week from dawn until dusk. Elk & Bison entry tokens can be purchased at the Prairie or at any LBL facility for $5 per vehicle. For commercial buses or vans the fee is .50 cents per person and must be purchased at the Golden Pond Visitor Center. Discover how early explorers and hunters viewed and used the prairies and prairie animals. Mr. Belue's books will be available for purchase and autograph.
