Image of Girl with wand Would you like to work for Land Between The Lakes? LBL's internship and apprenticeship programs are designed to give students and graduates valuable professional experience in a variety of disciplines.

Interns and apprentices work closely with professionals to receive first-hand experience in their major field of interest. We provide on-the-job training and experience for participants, while they help us provide a quality experience for LBL's visitors.

Eagles in nest imageTurtle image Disciplines available at LBL include recreation, environmental education, forestry, wildlife, history, graphic design, photography, public relations, environmental engineering, and health & safety. Work location may be in a family campground, a resident group camp, a nature center, an 1850s living history farm, or in the LBL administrative office.

Intern applicants should have completed at least two years of coursework. Course credit is arranged through your college or university. Internships last from 12 to 16 weeks. Apprentice applicants must have at least a Bachelor's degree and cannot be currently enrolled in school. Positions last up to one year.

Students receive a $150 weekly stipend and housing on-site. Apprentices receive a $200 weekly stipend and housing on-site. Housing is in fully-furnished houses or house trailers.
